Launchboard generates cap table reports from your live data — no manual exports, no spreadsheet formulas. Every report reflects the current state of your cap table and typically renders in seconds. Use reports to prepare for investor meetings, run dilution scenarios before a financing round, or share a vesting summary with an employee or counsel. Navigate to Reporting → Reports (/reports) to access all reports.

Cap Table Summary

A point-in-time snapshot of your current ownership. The summary shows each stakeholder’s name, their securities across all share classes, and their percentage ownership on a fully diluted and basic basis. Use this report before investor meetings, legal reviews, or any time a stakeholder asks “what do I own?”.

Ownership by Class

A breakdown of each share class showing authorized shares, issued shares, and the remaining available pool. This report makes it easy to see how much capacity is left in each class before you need to authorize more shares.

Dilution Analysis

A forward-looking model that shows how a new financing round would affect existing holders. Enter a proposed round size and pre-money valuation to see post-money ownership percentages across all stakeholders and share classes.
Run a dilution analysis before term sheet negotiations so you can walk into the conversation knowing exactly how the proposed round affects your ownership and that of your existing investors.

Vesting Schedules

A per-stakeholder view of vesting timelines, cliff dates, vested amounts, and unvested balances. This report covers all equity plan grants — stock options, restricted stock, and any other instruments with attached vesting terms.

Exporting in Open Cap Format

If you need to move your cap table data into another equity management tool, or share it with counsel who uses OCF-compatible software, you can export the entire cap table in Open Cap Format (OCF) — the open standard for cap table interoperability. To export:
  1. Go to Settings → Cap Table
  2. Click Export OCF
The export produces a complete OCF-compliant package covering all stakeholders, securities, share classes, equity plans, and vesting terms. You can import this file into any tool that supports the OCF standard.
OCF export includes your full cap table history, not just the current snapshot. This makes it suitable for migration, archiving, and legal review.

Using reports for due diligence

Before an investor meeting or legal review, generate a Cap Table Summary and share it directly from Launchboard. Because every entry on the report traces back to a verified source document, you can back up any number with the underlying agreement — a level of audit-readiness that a spreadsheet cannot provide. For a complete picture, pair the Cap Table Summary with the Ownership by Class report (to show share class authorization) and the audit log (to show the full history of changes).

Audit log

Trace every cap table event back to its source document or user action.

Board actions

Record formal governance decisions that authorize cap table changes.

Equity plans and vesting

Set up option pools, vesting schedules, and cliff terms.
